Today Mohave Valley Elementary School District rolls out their new mobile app, developed by Apptegy, a leading school app developer. Available in both the Apple and Google Play stores, the free app will become the center of the district's communication efforts. "This one-stop program will serve as our media hub for the district's social media efforts, including Facebook and Twitter, as well as our newly redesigned website" noted superintendent Whitney Crow. "The Apptegy app allows the district to update all of our communication platforms through one centralized location, saving time and insuring that the message is communicated efficiently and effectively through one location."
Beyond the standard website and app capabilities, the new app will allow us to send voice and text messages in mass, or, focused down to a particular school or even grade level or teacher. And by allowing push notifications, parents with the app will receive instant notifications as the situation may warrant.
While the site is not 100% fully developed, everything is fully functional, and, will be pretty close to current by the start of next week. At that time the new district website, which mirrors the app, will be transferred to the mvesd16.org site. Until then, you may find staff members Isaac Newton and Lucy Van Pelt slow at answering their emails...
The district will continue to have separate access to ParentVue, the parent portal for grades, attendance, and more, and will also continue using Constant Contact for its e-newsletters, although these periodic letters will be available through the new app as well.
