Anyone who attends functions at Fort Mojave Elementary knows that the parking situation there regularly overflows out of the school's parking lot onto adjacent streets and areas. And anyone who attends these functions held in the evening, especially in the winter months knows how dark it can get in front of the school, where many students and their families use the crosswalk to cross Joy Lane to get to their car.
Thanks to the generous donation of labor and materials by Mohave Electrical Cooperative, a new street light has been donated and mounted on an existing MEC poll along Joy Lane next to the crosswalk. This light does an excellent job of lighting up not only the crosswalk, but the entire intersection, which can only help in making the area safer during early morning and late evening hours.
Thanks MEC!
